I protest slightly - this sequel takes dumb to a new level. In my ratings book, if such a thing existed, the one-minute Oompa-Loompa-border-station-go-Yankees-wtf cameo alone cost it a full point on a scale of 1 to 10. Of course, the endless robot dickfartpeejizz stuff didn't help.

That might be the only thing that could top Gaytos...

Gods. I *know* I type too much, but I can never seem to stop myself. It might be a condition.

Ah, the comments look normal now. Order is restored in the universe etc etc (but my comment still didn't show up :P oh well).

Anyway, I introduced a guy at work to HE, and he's been reading the archives. Yesterday, he told me he was all caught up, and just realized "one of the guys in the comic is a homosexual"...

So yeah, I thought that was pretty wicked, that he's read the entire run of HE so far, and this is the point where he gets that Josh is gay. I'll admit, I don't remember when I figured it out exactly (it's not like the comic states "JOSH IS GAY" in big red letters, it's just that Josh... well, he's Josh. And he happens to be gay. Possibly in big red letters.), I just figure it's been out there for a while.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I happily submit to the rule of our new masters, going so far as to say that I welcome the Golden Age of the mole-bear-men. Of course, I believe my general shape and furriness should allow me to blend in easily enough.

Incidentally, in the new society, will there be chanting and some sort of drum-based communication system, or is there a fabulous alternative of which I am unaware?

To Joel, really:
Have you considered doing a pack of gamerpics for all the Fancy Xbox 360 Bastards out there? I don't know how you would do it in a practical sense, but I would buy the damn thing (heck, I bought the VG Cats one, but I'd rather have HE).

Favorites we'd all probably like to see included, aside from the obvious portraits of all the main characters:
- Pokemon Denise
- Dead Josh?
- Boxcar Pete
- The Macromancer, LOLuchador and Bear Arms
- Gaytos?

etc.

If it were technically possible, they should make the movie... hot, flatulent and BO-riffic. Actually, that might work out easily enough in theaters, depending on the movie-going audience. Also, it should be awesome. And have bizarre large-breasted middle-aged women charging 50 bucks for their pictures. That's what I got out my limited con-going experience (Wizard World Chicago some years ago). And awesomeness.

Obviously, I second the motion to have extremely washed-up old dudes at sad tables. I got to meet and greet the original Beastmaster, Lou Ferrigno, Virgil the superstar wrestler, as well as spying Kevin Smith from a distance (Jason Mewes walked right past us to get to their panel, and I didn't recognize him with short curly brown hair and a trucker cap; go figure). One "real" actress I enjoyed talking to was Rena Owen.

The real highlights for me included costumed weirdos (big props to obese black Batman, as well as Beetlejuice heckling Darth Vader and his stormtrooper) and "conversing" with Joss Whedon (I showed a camera in his face as he was making his way past the line for a Q&A, realized that I was being a dick and said "Sorry about that", to which he replied something like "Oh, no, that's ok", leaving me overjoyed).

Gods frakkin' damn it, I type too much. Sorry.

It's not back hair - it's the mother of all happy trails.

Will probably check out the movie, in the way Rich suggests. Might be good for a laugh, in a shitty-movie-night kind of way. Then again, it might not. I can probably stomach it, though; I have suffered through many a crappy movie, but usually cuz I didn't want the wife to get upset on the off chance that she was enjoying it. I think she's gotten better at letting me know when she's also suffering, though - none of us were able to finish the latest Mummy movie.

On a vaguely related note, I've only seen a few minutes of Dragonball Z, and was violently unimpressed, but I have read the entire run of the actual Dragonball manga.

I love it, in the least wrong way possible.

Also, with the recent zombie comic in mind, if anyone's remotely interested, here's a Valentine's Day card I did for the wife some five years ago - the original files are safely backed up somewhere - i.e., I don't know where they are anymore - and my old web space is dead and gone, so at the moment, only the Zazzle product remains:

Fixed Link

Anyway, she enjoyed it. Maybe I'll redo it with new and improved art for next year. :)

EDIT: Apparently, that link requires you to log in to the damn thing. Should be fixed now, if anyone cares.
