Paraphrased: "I'm totally fine admitting that supporting a candidate based on race is the most important factor in that decision."

Oh, and, also..."I obviously have a vast amount of power if by not endorsing me for mayor it will ensure the President of the United States will have no chance at re-election. That...or my head is gigantic and blacks around the country don't really follow the Chicago Mayoral race like I think they do... Nah.., if he doesn't endorse me, there will be riots because of his insensitivity to blacks. For real."

Insight into liberal politicians minds is truly scary sometimes. Makes you wonder how people can support them.

It would be your new reality if he had his way. At least thanks for having the cajones to stand up and ask such a blunt question. It seems obvious she isn't in the "redistribute the wealth" crowd, but more in the "let the economy recover" crowd, and she, like millions of others, got duped pretty good in 2008.

At least Steele had the sense to latch on and support her today without opening his mouth and making a mistake as usual. Cornynn of the NRSC is backtracking like crazy and pissed a lot of donors off in the last 24 hours. But you're right, Steele is a poor leader, but at least he got this one right.

You realize the topic of this thread and my point were the reactions by the GOP establishment AFTER O'Donnell had won the primary right? Thus making your point moot. She is the Republican candidate, and instead of congratulating her and backing her, they raked her over the coals and claimed they would not support her financially, alienating all of those MANY who support her. Horrible move by the NRSC (who couldn't even let her make an acceptance speech before discarding her) and light-shedding move by Rove. He was more angry than he should have been, and uncharacteristically made a bad political decision for himself and the party by railing on her when she had already won. Seems there was something personal in this for him.

I'm not sure what your point is here. She's the candidate, and the NRSC needs to do what they can to get her elected, not start helping the opposition the second their favored candidate (who would likely have been a worse liberal than the Maine duo, and would have held his vote power over the Repubs heads for 4 years) doesn't win the primary.

As for who screwed the pooch in general if she doesn't win the seat, that's a whole different discussion with about 18 sides to it. I'd be happy to explain that to you, but that has nothing to do with this post or my comment.

Oh, and by the way, the NRSC has just flip flopped on their position to not support O'Donnell and sent her a check this morning. I'm sure it couldn't have been because of the thousands of angry phone calls, emails and tweets they got in the last 12 hours telling them to pull their heads out of their rears... They really don't get it...

Rove and the NRSC really screwed the pooch on this one. How many slaps in the face does it take before they start to understand? Well, we'll keep the train rolling with them or over them if need be. They need to get on board or it's gonna hurt when the train hits em.

Now that that's taken care of, incoming ban on all oil drilling in the U.S. or any waters where any U.S. oil company could possibly bring in oil.

"Cuz, we just can't take chances that things like this might happen again"

It's an eco-terrorist's.... I mean environmentalist whacko's.... I mean environmentalist's dream!

When ALL major news outlets refuse to look into the effects of Islamisization of countries, we have to approve of real reporting wherever we get it.

I've lived in Pat Robertson's backyard for most of my life (literally a couple miles away) and I'm not a big fan, but don't throw away an ally when there are so few, just because a portion of his audience might be more religiously fanatical than you'd like. If people like him that actually have a voice don't take a stand on the Sharia on our doorstep, we really don't have much of anyone to count on. Be glad for any allies brave enough to take the political backlash.

It's pretty sad that in most places police are little more than revenue collectors for their city or state, and in places where they really do have a lot of crime to deal with, they spend time on things like this "sting".

It's not really even the police officers' fault in most places, it's the career politician desk jockey's above them deciding what they should spend their time on that are really disgusting.

Did he really say they set up a "sting"? Taxpayer dollars hard at work there.
