I was just going to post the same information. I am surprised KOMO didn't at least post a picture of his car. Unfortunately a comment on his FB likely identifies the young girl before the police do.

It is without question, as in there is plenty of clinical research that indicates that many children with Autism have a biomedical gastrointestinal issues. This has been known for at least two decades. If you would like to research further, simply go to ARI's website...that is the easiest way to find the clinical data as opposed to a general Google search. I didn't want to throw this into the mix earlier because it was off topic. However, not only do I personally know of several children that were healed from Autism, there are many case studies that indicate that once the body is treated the Autism symptoms go away and/or are lessened....Another "hot" topic that the medical community is divided on. But as I said, treat the body, treat the Autism. That may seem simplistic...but there is enough data at this time to divide the medical community in regards to whether Autism is healable. Some believe Autism is not healable, but there are too many case studies to indicate that it is in fact healable.

Here's the link to the ARI site. On a side note, Dr. Rimland, who has sadly passed away was the founder of the Autism Society of America.

As someone who has researched the causality of Autism for 17 years I find many of the comments on this forum interesting. The mean spirited nature of some of the comments has me astounded. The reality is that the incidence of Autism is pandemic. There is no statistical analysis that can account for the increased rates worldwide (including countries with significantly lower obesity rates). Regarding the vaccination debate: I personally do not believe that vaccines cause Autism; however there is significant clinical data that indicates that children with Autism have had severe reactions to immunizations. Further there are studies that indicate that many children with Autism have heavy metal toxicity (in one study 100% of the children with Autism in the study had high metal toxicity, further the symptomatology of Autism is almost identical to that of lead poisoning which lends weight to what keri5572 indicated in her comments about toxins ). This is not inconsistent with other research that indicates that children with Autism have gastrointestinal problems and an inability to remove said toxins/metals from their bodies (leaky gut syndrome).

I believe the results of this current study will be proven to be spurious...but we shall see. The cause of Autism is not yet known. Every study that can rule out or confirm the cause is valid and worthwhile because it brings the doctors/researchers one step closer to finding the cause. At the end of the day, that is all that matters.

To the person that belittled Jenny McCarthy, I would simply say this, whether you agree with the theories of Generation Rescue or not, she has done more to bring attention to Autism since Dr. Bernard Rimland who is widely known as the pioneer in Autism research.

I was curious about your comment so I just looked up some recent clinical data and statistics. I will use only one country as an example in relation to the US.

The prevalence of Autism in the US is 1/88. The obesity rate is 30.6%

The prevalence of Autism in South Korea is 1/38. The obesity rate is 3.2%.

Other countries had much lower obesity rates yet similar or higher prevalence of Autism as the US.

Sorry, my comment was deleted by accident when I was refreshing the page. I will cut and paste so others can see what I said. Thank you for responding and identifying yourself.

"If KOMO did not accurately portray the facts then the Everett Animal Shelter should hold a press conference and release the facts to the media, not just KOMO. Clearly this story has many quite upset. Posting anonymously on a forum will not change that. If you are indeed with the EAS then you should have said who you are by name!

All my animals (two rabbits and two cats) were rescues and our vet thought on many occasion they were on their last four legs so to speak. We have an exceptional vet and he has been stunned at how our animals bounced back. We only ever had to put one down and that is after we rescued her freezing, flea infested dog bitten and 3 lb little self from the snow; she had been with us for 8 years before she became very ill with a kidney condition that was terminal and could no longer be treated. They all have been very ill at one time or another, but not one suffered. We happily paid thousands between all of them and they went on to live happy long lives that exceeded their typical respective life spans. My rescued black Siamese just turned 17 and she is currently being given insulin shots daily. We could have put her down and not have been bothered with caring for her, but chose to fight for her as long as she fights for herself and is happy. Can you prove Blaze was suffering or did someone make a unilateral decision when the Ellis' would have happily cared for him?"

If KOMO did not accurately portray the facts or present a proper time line that certainly is not Mr. Ellis' fault. The article is written poorly in that some paragraphs have led readers to believe the vet called Animal Control. That is not the case. Mr. Ellis called to report animal abuse once the chip determined who the dogs owner was. The dog was then removed and brought to the shelter by the Snohomish Sheriff’s Office even though Mr. Ellis wanted to remain in possession of the dog and continue treating it at his expense. He was told by the responding officer that by law the dog needed to go to the shelter as its owner had been located and the alleged abuse was to be investigated. Further, it seems that the dog was on medication that Mr. Ellis bought and that the Animal Shelter was using said medication. The cost of the medication would be roughly in the $30 range give or take the size of the dog and the medication used. How you came up with $2000 is beyond me. It is perfectly reasonable to believe that the $250+ covered the vet well check, the medication and whatever else the vet the Ellis' took Blaze to covered the emergency medical treatment.

Regardless, your comments are laden with speculation, perhaps even defamation of the Ellis'. I do not know them, I have not seen the police report that he filed. You insinuate in your comments that you are an attorney. I find that interesting as I would not be posting comments with outright speculation, particularly since it took me less than one minute to find the entirety of what Mr. Ellis wrote.

They did open their checkbook. I found this blog on line with more details to the story written by Mr. Ellis. Scroll half way down the page to find Mr. Ellis' comment. I believe Mr. Ellis is not the person ranting (I presume that is the blog creator). His comment starts below "Dog Murdered...."

Further, it appears that Mr. Ellis followed shelter adoption procedure in his attempts to adopt Blaze.

If you are going to complain about the prosecution, at least know the difference between the City Attorney and the KC Prosecutor. Your comment is so indicative of those that are reacting based upon emotion rather than knowledge or common sense. A jury acquitted this man. Wonder why? Perhaps because they all saw evidence that wasn't shown on the news. The Seattle PA didn't prove his case. His job will only be "hell" because he did a poor job at prosecuting or brought charges that had no merit. Oh, wait...he did both as a 6 person jury acquitted the officer in less than 2 hours,

i respect your opinion and like very much that you have read other press. but in my reading of some articles...it is very different. my point again. other international press has witness statements that he didn't act alone. i don't know if that is true or not. none of us do. the press coverage of what is being reported is just so disparate.

12 years ago @ KOMO - Seattle, WA - Report: Sergeant accus... · 4 replies · +17 points

I have read many news articles regarding this tragedy as well as comments on KOMO and other sites. A few days ago someone posted on the KOMO forum that people should read international news sites, specifically the BBC. So I did, and have been. I have also looked at middle eastern news coverage. What is being presented internationally is very different than what is being written by the AP in the US (lest CNN that included some of the other witness statements this morning). I read an article on BBC this morning where witnesses specifically said "they" not "he". Several alleged witnesses say that there were as many as 15 people that came into the towns. They talked of video evidence of several people not one and of of multiple footprints in the wheat fields. If one reads only the AP version one may not be getting an accurate account of all the information being thrown about. And I suppose that is my point. None of us knows the truth and what really happened right now.

If Mr. Bales committed this crime then he should surely be held accountable. At this point I think all the information being released by different international news agencies contradicts what is being presented by the AP. There are multiple conflicting witness accounts depending upon which press coverage you read. I for one will not condemn this man until the facts are fully presented in a court of law. I would only suggest others do as I did before commenting and making such harsh statements laden with speculation. In the meantime, my heart goes out to Mr. Bales family. As she requested...leave the family alone!

edit: wow! my "rating" just when from 107 to 59 as soon as i posted this comment...and no one has even thumbed me down yet!
