I'LL BE HAPPY TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE COMPANIES!! KUDOS FOR BEING PROACTIVE! Then I want to challenge business owners to think hard how your doing business...perhaps you need to do 'surprise' visits to companies who you are buying your supplies from to see just how their manufacturing plants are being run. Remember you need to actually go around the plant not just visit the corporate offices.....it could save you money in the long run and the added cost to you product should & would be less than a bad reputation that a mistake like this whole 'peanut' snaffu is. And I bet those all of those who died and their familys would have been happy to pay more for a safe product if they were asked too!

Third - I bet the guardian has already been approached by the hospital authorities about how the bills are mounting and how are they going to be paid. If the person who hit him, and who owned the car both have insurance they could have had as little as $25,000. in insurance coverage....that would cover what the childs first week in the hospital? If they are lucky! Until the State of Oregon steps up and forces people to increase their insurance coverage to amounts that will truly cover the true liablity costs that could occur from a accident innocent victims will be forced to pay for other peoples lack of responsibility. You want to get upset about something...look into that, don't accuse a person who has to look out for the financial responsibilitys thrust on them by a irresponsible driver for taking the time to talk to a lawyer (it probably took less than an hour to put it in his hands the rest the lawyer is doing - I just hope they got one as good as I just used!

Second - have you been in a accident lately and tried to deal with insurance companys? I just was and wanted to deal directly and fairly with them but everytime I talked to them they changed adjustors on me, changed what they had already said they would do, then wanted me to sign releases before we even knew what all might be wrong. I was told "have your insurance company pay the bills....we'll settle with them later" ...but what if you don't have a insurance company, like me...I was a pedestrian. You have to have a good lawyer to even make sure your bills are paid, and this child will have bills for years.

Get Real! This childs medical bills sure have not stopped piling up while he and his family has a chance to 'get better'.

First - you can't sit at the hospital 24/7 for either the childs good or your own good. I've been there and done that as they say. While the child is in intensive care and not as active is exactly when to meet with a lawyer and put it in his hands, yours will be full when the child really starts getting better and needs you by his side as much as possible.

I am a newbe with all of this tech stuff, but I would learn anything to be able to communicate with others of our Lord. I'm disabled and forced to be shut-in alot and this could be a answer to my prayers in how I can still be of service...keep me in mind please.
