BTW, if you have a JB 3g v 3.0 AT&T and have swirlymms, you dont need to wait, you can mms now...works and easy setup.

download the right ipsw file, download IPHONE 3G (3.0/7A341, the other one IPHONE (3.0/7A341) will not work, i had the same problem as you and i downloaded the right one and worked first time!!

woohooo, figured it out and saw someone else had this same problem. Here is the issue, the wrong .ipsw file was downloaded. there are two, one says IPHONE(3.0xxxxx) same firmware name, BUT there is another one that says IPHONE 3g (3.0xxxx) if you download the first one, it wont work, need to make sure its the 2nd one, right before the IPHONE 3GS .ipsw!

wtf, iphone stays black and GUI says waiting for reboot, iphone never reboots, i even restored everything to factory default 3.0 and started over, but same thing, any ideas?
