The hotel's price is like other hotels in the area and it's not supported by tax dollars. it's paid for by the revenue that comes in from the hotel. the food is high end but there are some reasonable options. I just saw the inside of the place and it is really cool

that Mt. Vernon four-way stop is terrible from 5-6 p.m. It's very dangerous, and frustrating.

I totally see what you're saying and agree with your points. Still not sold though. I think it's a tough question. Sucks to be PSU and force your fans to travel to all the "West" places. It definitely boosts the cred of the west, but what if they do fall flat? For a long time? Now we're making a mediocre team travel far, combined with a goofy alignment.

There's all this talk of Penn State needing to be in the "West." Why not keep them in the East with others powers Michigan and OSU, and have three powers of Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska in the West? You wouldn't have a need for 'cross-over' opponents and could play your entire division each year and rotate three of the other six, like the Big 12. That's fair.

I know the East is historically a better collective group, but who's to say Michigan is that great right now? What happens to PSU when (or, if) JoePa retires? Since 99, each straight east-west side has had four teams win the conference. That seems pretty fair. Now add Nebraska, that could easily be a fifth in a few years, for the weaker 'West' side.
