Well, now that my bubble's burst--not really sure how that was supposed to have happened: because you said so?--and now that I'm a pompous ass for pointing out how racism is bad, I would love to hear, if any of you six ever come back here, for you to explain to me how I'm bigoted. It's a debate. You can't bail out of the debate by simply claiming that I am selfish or deluded when everything I've written has been interested in the facts of the case rather than the insane conspiratorial rumor that seems to pass for debate here. If you can demonstrate to me how Sherrod's story of once thinking racially and then NOT thinking racially shows she is a bigot racist and liberals are bigot racists, I would like you to explain it to me. Please refrain from engaging in platitudes about how Obama is a Kenyan Muslim socialist who hates America and give me some factual, evidenced argument that Breitbart was right either in what he did with the tape or his interpretation of it.

Racism comes in lots of different forms. If racism were simply manifest in genocide, then you would be legitimizing separate water fountains. Racism is not just men in white hoods, or being strung up in a tree. and if you don't know that then you don;t yet know enough about the history of racism. And acknowledging what happens in American racism does not diminish the Holocaust, or the Armenian genocide, as you seem to suggest. That would be foolish, because they're ont he same continuum. Racism in our public discourse cannot be about who you are, but how you act. And when you willfully edit, or pass along an edited video with the claim that it shows that Shirley Sherrod or the NAACP is racist, when the full video shows that the opposite was true, then you are wrong. Breitbart was wrong, about Sherrod and the NAACP, and to see him now try to squirm out of it and say he feels sorry for the woman HE accused of being racist only shows how sad this entire story is. If you thinkt he term racist is overused, then look closely at Breitbart, who just used it. Oh, and please don't even approach blaming black people or minorities for the existence of racism. All smart minorities know things are different and better, just as all smart white people know that things are still not as good as they can be. We should be able to agree on that. If you can't, see my above comment about the need for soul searching.
