I love reading stories like this! Warms the heart to know that in a world where many things are not going so well, there are still wonderful folks out there willing to pitch in and help another. Bless your hearts:)
Saying a prayer of healing for these people:) Such a devastating ordeal.

To me, it seems like everyone could have been helped, the big and little people, if interest rates on mortgages had been reduced automatically. It would have prevented some foreclosures, but more importantly, people like me who are getting by could have had an extra $300-500 a month to stimulate the economy by patronizing local businesses and such. My husband and I have credit scores over 800 and I was told by Bank of America that the only way they could modify my loan was if I had no savings account and was late on payments.......so, they will help people who don't plan ahead and'/or spend their money on flat screen tvs that do very little to support America, in my opinion. There is no reward for responsibility these days......if one waits long enough or piddles their money away, you can be helped. And credit scores don't mean anything anymore.....I believe I read somewhere that 680 was now considered a "good" score? Seriously? Something is wrong with this picture. I know the experts say the recession is over, but I disagree......fiercely.
"That was a shift from the previous two Fed meetings, when three members had dissented because they opposed the Fed's continued efforts to keep rates at super-lows."The super-low rates aren't helping crap anyways! No one has the money for a down payment and those of us who would like to refi to the lower rate can't because we owe more than our homes are worth.
I'm thinking that they mean the kids are eating even the healthy stuff, not just the snacks/treats that many parents send. I am a teacher and what I have observed in the cafeteria is that kids will scarf a Twinkie or granola bar and throw out an apple or banana. They go for the quick and sugary stuff first. By eating everything, their meal is hopefully more balanced.
