I find it interesting that this whole project they are currently working on to prevent future problems costs a little over $800,000. Why don't they use that money to actually fix the whole "dam" situation?
It seems like a complete waste, in my opinion.
What an ignorant comment. This wasn't even close to the lake. There is a difference between Lake Delhi and the town of Delhi.
Yes, the majority live there year round. There are also vacationers, but most live there permanently.
I am confused why people keep saying the lake is private?
There are many public access points to get onto this lake. Definitely not a private lake.
Most of the homes are not just summer homes on the lake. Many of the people on the lake live there year round. Many lost their ONLY home during this flood. It's a misconception that the lake is only for vacationers.

I hope now people will STOP blaming the flood victims for not having flood insurance. Delaware County is to blame. This area better be declared a national disaster area soon. Some of you have NO idea how much destruction this flooding caused.
KMCH radio station has information on their website about how you can help.
Lake Delhi is not just for the privileged few. Most of those that live there are year round residents. They are not rich. Many of these year round residents lost EVERYTHING they owned. I saw the damage first hand and its people like you that make me and others sick. I don't even live on the lake, yet I feel I have to defend these people that you and others are bashing and making assumptions about. I hope the government comes in quick and helps out as much as possible. THEY pay taxes too!
If you go to the local radio station's website, kmch, they have numbers you can call if you would like to help! There are a lot of elderly people who need volunteers to help clean up their homes.
