Exactly...people need to learn from history (where have we heard that before?! ;>)...1912, a Constitutional Convention was one state short of getting called and it prompted the 17th amendment to get passed.

I'm not sayng we need an amendment but just think of the attention it would get!

Let's get organized!!!

It's a great idea. Just look up in 1912...a Con Con was 1 state short of being called and it prompted the 17th amedment to get passed. The convention itself wouldn't have to actually take place (but it'd be nice if it did) but the attention that it would generate would be terrific.

It would send a strong message to Washington...

Just a thought but what do people think about 635 (or so) sending a copy of "The 5000 Year Leap" to each of our senators and congressmen?

I know I'll send copies to my senators and representative.

Imagine the effect if every member in Congress each received a copy!!!

I have not seen any mention of the Global Progressive Forum in Brussels this week anywhere!

Are we offering to surrender our sovereignty??? Bill Clinton and Howard Dean are there from the US and their web site (http://www.globalprogressiveforum.org/) describes Bill Clinton as:
