Redemption doesn't mean you get back in full. If you redeem, the amount that you get back should be higher since its invested to get higher returns. But the big question is why only now do the redemption. Its not as if 1 M Dalam Bahaya didn't know that it has to make payment by Nov 2014. Instead, it has to ask for deferment to pay. In normal commercial sense, deferment means the company is in financial difficulty.

You have the authority to issue letter in your own personal letterhead. If issue under the banner of the Home Ministry, there must be protocol for the use of Ministry letterhead. What more to clear a person's name in a criminal case without proper protocol and procedure followed. You are authorised to sign letters but if you issue the letter from your personal capacity, then you don't have the power. That tantamounts to abuse of power and negligence. Minister cannot simply sign anything without foloowing proper procedures and the Ministry letterhead is not for you to use as you wish just because you perceived that you have the "power" to do so.

I recalled they sent many many policemen some clad in balaclava to detain DSAI. I think that was during Tan Sri Musa Hassan's tenure as IGP. Last report I read, 15 cars load of commandos were sent to detain DSAI! So what gives?

Cayman is a very good destination to hide plus with hedge fund managers who are not subject to any disclosure and transparancy requirements, is a favourite destination for funds to be hidden away. Why send the funds to another country to be managed by dubious "fund managers" whilst Malaysia has a good number of fund managers at Khazanah, EPF etc....... plus insurance companies have numerous fund managers who are highly capapble. It is truly sad that the Govt sees fit to bypass all these talents yet laments that the talents are staying away from Malaysia. And 1MDB is called a sovereign wealth fund?

In the first place, can any Govt official use Govt assets for personal holiday? Obviously, the PM can take commercial flight back, what's stopping the PM and his family from taking commercial airlines for their personal holiday? Doesn't that constitute an abuse of position in using Govt assets? Might as well pay for their entire holiday enpenses! This is truly and utterly non-sensical that the Govt allows its officials to use assets for personal gains.

I don't understand why the Govt felt it necessary to "correct the perception" and clear the air for a person like that but refused to budge on extremist views that may lead to hatred and possibly violence? Its almost like the Govt has vested interest in Phua? Extremist views are a national security threat to the peace among Malaysians.

He is so right! Obama's schedule is much more important to arrange a game of golf than the plight of flood victims. He has to fly all the way there to play golf whilst David Cameron shows the whole wide world the quality leader that he is when flood waters invades the British Isles

Another clear example why Sedition Act cannot remain as a law. Allows police reports to be lodged when no criminal offence has been committed. Leaves ordinary people to make every damn thing an offense! We should lodge police reports against these parties for lodging police reports then!
