The micro injectable chip does not have a radio on it, it responds to a reader like the proximity cards used to open doors.

They need a collar with a radio that can actually be tracked at a distance.

Warren vs. DC decided that the police are not duty bound to protect the individual rather than society as a whole.

It has nothing to do with and does not mean what you suggested - and there is no such ruling that prohibits a law enforcement officer from approaching and speaking with anyone they wish to.

So, did you have a case to cite or did you make up your first post?

Those in the photo are Lummi Police. My guess is they asked for help from the Sheriff with a complex investigation.

If you read title 77, you'll note that the "loaded rifle or shotgun in or on a vehicle" statute does not apply to an on duty law enforcement officer.

That should be obvious, since there is a loaded rifle or shotgun in just about every patrol car.

They will have the serial numbers of the weapons that were stolen on file. Those serial numbers will be entered as stolen. The serial number is placed on the firearm at the factory and recorded by the distributor that sold the weapon, as well as the dealer that received it.
