Why oh why do people want to ruin "country" with the likes of Taylor, Carrie, and so many more new so called country singers that didn't make it in pop genre. I have seen George many times at the Houston Rodeo and he is so awesome and humble, no flash and dash. I hope with the likes of Blake, Danny Gokey (he is amazing), Luke, Kenny, Keith can keep some modicum of country in "country" Great honor George -- we love you so much for your humility and talent obvioulsy we are not alone!
Alan is a true gentleman, does not seem self absorbed, there are very few other country stars that can be in Alan's class such as Keith, George, Blake, Willie, and so many more of the "real" country stars. I am so happy for him, he justly deserves this honor!

Love Keith and am thrilled that he is FINALLY getting the recognition he deserves. What a pleasant surprise. He is one of the most outstanding guitar players and singer/writers in any genre, along with Brad Paisley. They bring joy to everyone. Carrie has grown up so much since her start in country, but Taylor still needs some growing up to do, she sings o.k. on her videos but live -- not so much! Congrats to Keith and Carrie.
I will not ever watch CMA again! Taylor Swift pulled a "swift" one on somebody! I was totally embarrased that the REAL country star had to sit there and watch that garbage she put out of her mouth. I am tired of watching her squiggle and cry and act like an idiot -- wish the real country stars could have their own TV channel so we wouldn't have to suffer the pain of hearing the likes of her. Darius DID deserve his reward, a class act, Taylor should learn from him!
