A key part of offsets is whether they have additionality - it's not all remediation. Some offsets enable sustainable development that would have never happened without that financial incentive.

I have a feeling even though it's hard to measure the impact your donation has to EBBC, it might well have a multiplier effect beyond what you could have done with offsets. It might be a good new model for bike coalitions everywhere to try to actually measure that.
