I agree with you that most police are "in it for the power" they get off by telling other people what to do. with a very few exceptions this is what I've experienced. I'm a former marine and I've gone house to house. Best case scenario the police are more worried about protecting themselves and their families and they leave everybody else alone. I'm not counting on that though.
