You might want to start with a fresh restored Firmware when unlocking. What Carrier Service are you using?
There have been some problems with the blacksn0w unlock when on a old and used Firmware. Just restore in iTunes and and use blackra1n.

nope, but blackra1n is very stable! I would expect The Dev Team to get back into the Jailbreak tools in the 3.2 iPhone OS.
