OK Congressman Sherman...you have only two doors to pick from:
Door #1 You are an ignoramus
OR
Door#2 You are liar.
Those are you only choices.

This comment will likely get me on a "list" somewhere but, in spite of his anti-Jewish and "n----r" rant, I am not convinced Mel is a racist, just as I don't believe that Michael Richard's "n-----r" explosion was racist. Why do I say such an outrageous thing? Two reasons. From personal experience. For the first half of my life I had an vicious and sometimes violent anger problem. In my raging temper rants, I wanted to pick the very word, phrase or abusive name that I could dream up that would inspire rage in the other person that I felt. I wanted them to be as angry as me. I wanted them to understand how angry I was. (even if my anger was unfounded) If I called a woman a "whore", I didn't believe that she was a prostitute. I just knew it was a word that would hurt or enrage her. When Michael Richards launched into his tirade against black men in comedy club, he was in a rage and he know that those words would shock and infuriate. In his twisted thinking, he knew this would get their attention. His problem wasn't racism, it was uncontrolled anger. His weapons were words. I think Mel's problem is not racism. (it may be too) His is a serious psychological anger problem fueled by alcohol. I'm not making excuses for him, but I know how he felt. I got my problem under control a long time ago. (not drinking helps) He needs to do the same. Oh...the second reason....we live in a "politically correct" world. We like to demonstrate that we are "above that" by quickly condemning those we view as racist. It makes us feel better about ourselves. Elitists.

I'm a radio guy. Seriously, the Air America people were the absolute worst radio programmers. They were angry, negative and hated their own country ans it showed. This is not a recipe for building an audience or keeping the small one they had, for longer than five minutes. Rush (even if you hated him) became a star because was an radio guy first...not a talking head or an ex-politician or a comedian. He therefore understood radio and how to use it to build an audience. AA specialized, as most liberals do, in nasty, really ugly, personal attacks on their target's clothes, makeup, hair, personal habits what-have-you. Most of all, from a radio programming standpoint, they were not entertaining. Simply put, they just didn't GET it.

Profiling is good. Discrimination is good We discriminate every day. We choose who our friends are and who we like to hang out with because we are discriminating. We choose to not associate with certain people, simply because don't like them. It's human nature. Anyone who says he does not discriminate is patently dishonest. Personally, I am sick to death of apologists and condesending elitist politically correct people such as Clarke who somehow feel that they are above all that. GET A GRIP ON REALITY. Experience teaches us many things. One of the most important thinsg we learn from a very early age is knowing who to avoid based on their appearance or what they profess to believe. It's simple. Case in point. Little old ladies from Kansas don't blow up airplanes.
