I want to purchase iPhone 3G / 3GS still not sure. But im worried if it comes with 3.1 firmware pre - installed. I want to use this on non official Network. So can anyone tell me if there is any way around . I mean to get iPhones with earlier firmwares like 3.0 or 3.0.1 .So that it can be unlocked. Is it for sure that the iPhones now available in the stores have 3.1 firmware ? Please help me .

SMS themes doesnt work on my iPhone 3G . Even though i set it through winterboard. Though other themes are working fine.

Those of u suffering with a faster battery draining problem in 3G after jailbreaking 3.0 . Remove winterboard and all those themes . There will be a drastic increase in battery after this. Atleast i noticed it.

I am going to buy a 3GS within a month, So iam i going to get 3.1 preinstalled in it. So what should i do then. Do i need to make it quick before 3.1 final is here. Also i want to cancel the contract with one month but i heard that its not easier anymore to cancel the contract from At & t. Is it so ? I need to send the phone somewhere else so can someone tell me the easiest and cheapest to get it off contract . But the factory unlocked phones are over priced which is out of budget for me.

What if we downgrade the Firmware of 3G S from currently 3.0 to something older like 2.2.1 which could be jailbroken but the Baseband still remaining the same so then we can install Ultrasn0w to unlock it . Owners of 3G S can u please try this and tell me if it works. But downgrading the firmware is a bit of pain i know. But what if this works ??

But is it safe to get it from there. I mean what if they gonna ditch. We cant catch them from USA . Just that am scared to get it from UK.
