I have "The Last Lecture." I am not sure when I will be able to read it, though. What is the fabric of cosmos about?

It is not entirely success stories but it is more like an evolution of checklist in the surgical world mainly. Whenever he mentioned other industries, the checklists already seemed to be in place and used well there.

On the other hand, because it is too common a topic, that is why a book highlighting best-practices is important. We all write checklists but we rarely use them (I know I rarely do). This book explains what we can do to make sure we use them often and have fun doing it.

I completely forgot about that. I will get my camera out and get some new pics asap.

Thanks Deepak!

I read this in a book: "The best book is one which tells you something you already know." This applies to all forms of story-telling. We have all played with some form of toys as kids (and even older) and we have given voices to our toys, be it sticks, dolls or guns. We just forget all that when we grow up. Movies like these help us remember what we know but have forgotten.

Yes, I spoke about passion in my earlier posts on Stay Hungry Stay Foolish and Connect the Dots. Passion never came up here as a subject in this presentation but that is the underlying attribute.

I haven't used Google maps on phone but someone I know has. He says the one in my phone is a lot better than Google Maps (at least in India) he uses on his Android phone. The roads aren't updated and apparently, there are no audio directions while driving.
It also probably depends on the platform. Google Maps for Android has all the features but even that was not good enough here. The experience would probably get worse on other less supported platforms. Check http://www.google.com/mobile/maps/ for the features list.

Yes, it is a good read. Grammar spoils the read in some places but if you are not uptight about grammar, you can tolerate it, I guess.

No answer yet. He has obviously forgotten about it now.
Next time he asks, I will direct him to read this blog post. :)

Cool... It was a good watch. I think I could watch it again but not for a third time. :)

Thanks for the input. I have already looked at my OS support and all is clear from that angle. I just have to go and buy a new monitor for use.
Anyway, this is what I have read everywhere. I was wondering if it can increase productivity _significantly_ for me. Even a small increase in productivity is always good but is it worth the cost in long run (power consumption and so on)?

Actually, the tool I mentioned is hardly social in that aspect. There is no point of having a group. The only person who can read your entries there is you. The only person you would be competing with would be you. That, in my opinion, is the point of the site. It is a daily challenge for yourself to write 750 words.
The only part others get to know is when your name appears in the list for 'Who's typing right now' and 'Today's Writers'. There is no social aspect as far as I know.
