I'm afraid you're a little dilusional, sir. I saw no mention of Obama until your post. How and why would you try to turn this incident into a political debate? This has nothing to do with Obama or even politics in general.
This was a person who was pulled over and found to have multiple outstanding warrants, requiring arrest. The suspect resisted arrest and refused to comply with an officer's instructions, resulting in use of force. This, minus the crowd interference, would have played out the same way regardless of the officer's and the suspect's ethnicities. What you're condoning is violence toward police officers that are doing their job(s) and doing so within the restraints of their authority. For that, I would consider you mentally ill.
That would NEVER fly in this "politically correct" society, but wouldn't it be nice.......
After reading your comment, senorita, all I keep hearing in my head is Mencia saying "DEE-dee-dee!"
You said "what would creeps like this do to my wife and 5 yr old son if we didn't have people like Morgan..."
In my opinion, for starters, your wife should be armed. You should be, too. You've got yourselves and a son to take care of and protect, you should enable yourselves to provide the best protection possible. Unfortunately, even if all the officers on the force were comparable to Morgan, they're always minutes away when seconds count. Want to feel safer? Get trained, get armed. Much better to be safe than sorry.
Excuse me, I need a moment...I'm taken aback by your infinite wisdom and insightfulness. Wow, you make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What's most interesting is that you wrote this comment to me AFTER I clarified my reason for posting the story and clearly stated that I was/am giving Ofc. Morgan an "atta boy!". ...And I wear FUBU and smoke chronic, huh? Well, let me just say that I would look rediculous in FUBU and leave it at that. Not that I'd EVER expect to get it, but I should be entitled to an apology for the crap you're talking about me since it's clearly due to YOUR misunderstanding of my post(s). And good day to you, sir.
Ah, but do you realize that Officer Morgan is African-American also? It's interesting, claiming that a black police officer racially profiled a black suspect...who just HAPPENED to have 4 outstanding warrants. Just like they say "it's not paranoia if they're really after you", "it's not racial profiling if you're really guilty" lol
Whatever. Now, THAT is infuriating.
ATTENTION! My last comment, regarding the 2007 incident involving Ofc. Morgan, was in no way defending criminal actions or meaning to slight Ofc. Morgan in any way. I posted that story and link to point out two things. 1) that Ofc. Morgan is exactly the type of cop all departments need. ...Hanging 1/2 way out of a car while grappling with the suspect when the car hits a tree?! ...and still apprehending the creep? Awesome. I was meaning to give the officer an "Atta boy!". My other point, 2) was that the story gave a little background and maybe a little insight as to why Ofc. Morgan didn't escalate the violence by use of lethal force. He obviously felt like he could defuse the situation with less-than-lethal force, and he succeeded. Way to be.
Whoa! This isn't a defense of criminals or thugs! I think this story only shows what an awesome cop Morgan is! C'mon, hanging out the window of a car while fighting/grappling a suspect when the car hits a tree?! ...And continued to apprehend the creep? That's the kind of cops we need for Pete's sake! I was meaning to give officer Morgan an "atta boy!". But this story also kinda provided some background as to Ofc. Morgan not jumping the gun, so to speak, and escalating the violence by resorting to lethal tactics. He apparently thought he could defuse the situation without resorting to lethal force and he was correct. Job well-done.
...free reign to shoot whoever they think needs it?! C'mon, use your head. There are enough LEOs with superiority complexes and enough who abuse their authority already. While I fully support the police, I fully support that they act in accordance with the LAW and civil rights and within the restraints of their authority. What you're advocating isn't any better than roving gangs ruling the streets. The only difference would be one gang having badges.
