I have an unlocked 3GS that is still on 3.0.1. How can I safely upgrade to 4.0/4.0.1 to unlock again for T-Mobile USA?

Are there any problems that could happen? I know when I tried to jailbreak/unlock my iPhone 4 on 4.0.1 there were a lot of problems (No APN settings available...and my $10 T-Mobile Unlimited Data plan did NOT work...)

When I go to cydia, it says that I have SHSH saved (only in Cydia)...I never saved with tinyumbrella or anything like that. What does that mean for me?

Any suggestions?

I have an unlocked iphone 3GS, and was wondering if the APN for MMS/Edge is the same for my new iPhone 4? I can't seem to get anything working....Any help is appreciated.

Do you happen to know how to set up EDGE for Tmobile USA on iPhone 4? I used same settings as on my 3GS, but it'll work for a little, and then not work at all, as well as MMS.

Can you lead me in the right direction?

Does any T-Mobile USA users have a problem with connecting to EDGE? I used the same settings and APN as I have for my 3GS 3.0.1, but the iPhone 4 will not pick up my EDGE. Phone calls/texting is OK. MMS works on and off.

Any suggestions for edge fix? Thanks guys!

Well I'm on the iPhone 4. Just jailbroke it this morning -- and I installed everything that Cydia told me to and MMS did NOT work. I had to install iPhone delivery (which works).
