Thx for your opinion Tango, but I am not worried about employment as I am just the writer and designer of this site. Nigel is however an ex-employee of SBS and is worried about the truth of that operation resulting in a future disaster. Seems like a pilot such as yourself would understand this, but it takes all kinds I suppose. Also, as I have mentioned on TravelAdvisor.com and other sites, if there is evidence that the safety issues have been corrected at SBS, I will gladly post that information here. Cheers!

Thx for your support JP! I am not a pilot, but as content editor for the site I can say that Nigel's intent was to relate the story of when the fan disintegrated and lodged debris in the hair and eyeglasses of pilot and passengers. But he does mention this loading method is not unique. What should be of concern is ground crew training and living/working conditions for all involved. When improperly trained workers perform 10 weeks straight, without a day off, crammed 3-4 to a room, mistakes naturally arise. Workers need to be totally alert when inflating large balloons, and properly trained, especially under the conditions portrayed in the video. Again, thx for your comment and support!

Ha! Well that did not work out so well. We were banned without explanation for simply posting the same info found here. It seems that some in the industry don't like the dirty laundry being aired. Well, to that we say too bad. Safety first!

Thx Anna for your kind support. I think that's a great idea. You can also write SBS with your concerns. Btw, Nigel can recommend safe balloon operators in nearby Kenya, after all, it's all the same "Serengeti" to the animals that live there, and we must do our best to support them.

This in from Dan and Family (USA): Dear Dan and Family, thx for your support. Please feel free to post links to these types of stories, and we will have Nigel give his professional opinion/comments on the accident.
