The parents simply wanted to warn others about the dangers of energy drinks, all you have to do is read the title of this article for that information. It doesn't mention they are going to sue the company or are upset about it. They are simply warning others to be careful. If they had known that 2 energy drinks could cause their kid to have a seizure I'm sure they would have limited him on how many he could drink. Yes some people can drink 8 energy drinks a day and be fine, unfortunately for this couple their son could not handle 2. They simply wanted to warn others about the risk, I know that I will be more careful about how much caffeine I consume, and watch for any dizzy feelings or an increased heart rate.

"I would love to see merit pay for lawmakers as well and let us vote on their job performace."

You do vote on their performance, every election.

I wonder how many of you people are the same people who complain about teenagers for being worthless members of society whenever they are at the mall texting and horseplaying with their friends. Yes there are teenagers who would be just as helpful or useful at a job as an adult, the point of this law however is to encourage companies to hire teens who need training, think of it as an Internship law. If you can hire a teen for less pay than you are more likely to hire them and train them for a future job with hirer pay. Companies can currently hire a college student and pay them WAY LESS than $5.75/hour to work for them for "experience" so why is it such a big deal that the goverment is trying to create a law for teens to get the same experience?

Just because minimum wage is $7.25 OR $5.44 doesn't mean a teenager or ANYONE for that matter has to accept a minimum wage paying job. America is the land of the free, ANYONE can work wherever they want or start their own business.

The higher minimum wage is the worse off the economy is, higher pay increases inflation which causes some serious issues, study some Economics before you think everyone should make $40,000/yr. +

Just because Teens can be paid less than adults doesn't mean they have to be. As a teenager I NEVER worked a job that paid minimum wage, I made almost double minimum wage at 3 or 4 jobs. If you are a mature teenager (which anyone with a family should be) than your employers will see that and you can apply for jobs that pay more.

If you need welfare than you will gladly pee in a cup, if your test just happens to get mixed up with someone who failed the test (what are the chances of that??) than you will gladly pee in another cup to prove you aren't on drugs. Yes its sad for people who have to be on welfare or live in subsidized housing but this law will help those who NEED the help and avoid wasting my tax dollars on drugs for whose who are abusing the system.

Regardless of the pot legal vs illegal debate, K2 is an "incense" and smoking it seems ridiculous, just like huffing glue or compressed air. Getting high off of things that were intended for other purpose is stupid and extremely dangerous! Yes I have smoked cigarettes and yes I do drink alcohol (in moderation) but I have never tried drugs because personally the risk of an OD isn't worth the possible benefits, however I think that making certain drugs legal would be the best thing this country could do. Making items legal requires the Goverment to monitor them and make them safer for those who chose to participate in such behaviors. However the goverment is currently too concerned with closing any sort of sexual business "strip clubs" to improve moral of this great state so I'm sure K2 is at the bottom of their list.

$2 million dollars??? Why not use the money for something worthwhile & towards the education. Scholarships isn't a bad idea and would help a lot more people than a live tiger, I can go to the zoo and see a tiger.

Sadly the same redneck trash who dump animals also dump humans.

Spay, Neuter & Adopt!! I tell everyone to use www.petfinder.com when looking for a pet, quite often they have PUREBRED puppies with all of their shots for cheaper than a breeder plus you are saving a life. I have had 4 dogs that were all rescues and I wouldn't do it any other way.
