“That’s a criticism goes to my heart. I feel I failed the fans in that those kills were not original enough.”

Yeah, okay.

Is it so hard to produce a slasher film that lacks potheads, tits, sex, dumb cop, and a token black guy? The first film was basically Horror Film Trope: The Movie.

lol wut?

The Team Ico games seem to strive to NOT be cinematic. They almost entirely feature gameplay and the basic ground rules of cinema seem to be disregarded. I'd argue that they're the purest form of video games in this era. This is why SoTC will never be adapted into a decent film, unless you hand it over to a competent team. It's a little bit like like Watchmen in that respect. Same could be said for the other oft-mentioned game, Bioshock. What would the film consist of? 30 minutes of record tapes and 40 minutes of fighting Big Daddies?

The only game series that I'd wager to call cinematic is Metal Gear Solid. Like previously stated, it blends gameplay and cinema almost seamlessly, sometimes even meshing the two (be it necessary or not). Sometimes there's viable information you can only get through gameplay, other times there are cutscenes that are interactive in clever ways.

Also, Heavy Rain looks like crap (HURRAY FOR PSUEDO-QTE). And ha at that uncanny valley statement. There are already a few games with non-creepy character models.

Oh and Mother 3 was pretty cinematic for a GBA game.

This film doesn't seem to break Disney's tradition of horribly designed main characters.

I just realized that the Spock/Kirk fight in Star Trek was more physical than most scenes in the horror genre. I'd appreciate some good, visceral punches to the gut.

I'd MUCH rather have Bioshock as a film explore Rapture's downfall, rather than Jack's tribulation in the submerged city.

In any case, I can see Miller as Fontaine.

Couldn't resist putting Bedtime Stories in there, I see.
