I drove in Boston about 10-15 years ago. They are quite 'assertive' and as a result pay attention. It wasn't bad - it was just that the drivers were more assertive. Seattle seemed wimpy in comparison.

Last year I went to Manila in the Philippines (imageine an area the size of metro Seattle - with 18+ Million people in it - crowded). There the traffic laws seem to be more 'suggestions' - people drive very 'creatively'. They cut into traffic and cut each other off all the time - no yelling or anger, people just accept it and move on. And you hardly hear of a traffic accident. I suspect that was because people have to pay a lot more attention.

I believe his is actually legal - *IF* the street you are turning onto is one way (and going the same way you are of course) and there are no oncoming traffic. Called a 'free left'.

having said that - It's amazing what you see people do while driving. Making breakfast. Reading a book. etc....

Isn't the whole idea that each cannidate tell the voters what they would do and what they believe in and then simply let the voters decide?

You are assuming the objective is to reduce gun violence. That is not necessarily the case.

How long before 'well we tried that and it didn't work. Lets try disarming the law-abiding victims via gun control...

Fast and Furious was not a 'gun tracking' operation. The Guns were *never* intended to be tracked.

The mexican authorities were never told about F&F. No tracking devices were on the guns.

How did they intend to track the guns? Its obvious - they didn't!
