Anyone else notice the people on the porch in the Twitter picture? I wonder if they were photographing the winners. .. wish we knew something. November 6th was supposed to be the date of announcement.

Well, just three more days or so, and we will know the winner's name. I am sure they have been chomping at the bit to tell their friends-- what a life changing experience.

Does anyone know what the building across from the house is? It looks like an RV storage/garage. Does it come with the house, too?

Does anyone see where the Official Rules are posted? They are usually under the Sweepstakes tab, but I don't seem to be able to find them anywhere.

In essence, it is an article that states that the winner of last years' SH had no idea--
From the article:

"In June", Walker said, HGTV sent a private investigator and a cameraman to surveil her and her family, looking for an opportunity to begin planning the big moment". Walker's two daughters, her son, and a long-time friend had been secretly working with HGTV producers for weeks to ensure it went off without a hitch. They had people out photographing her and someone even talked to her husband in the yard while she had her back turned gardening!
Her family had been in on it from the beginning but it took that long to make it happen!
I guess that means that we have to look good all the time, not just on ambush day!

Hi folks,
my thought is that the winner has not been ambushed yet. This is because in the past couple years when the word starts to leak (and it always seems to in some way or another) this blog gets shut down and no one can post for a few hours or a couple days. Anyone else remember that ?

Or-- it could mean that she has been to the state but not the town. Googling her name shows that she has been every state mentioned, so I tend to think it is a smaller town rather than a state. That is-- if we believe that she has never been there before! So I think that rules out Vegas, Palm Springs, Tucson, Scottsdale, Phoenix. Thoes are the places that I tend to think of when I think hot. You mention Tucson, where I live... can't be here if it is someplace she's never been; she has been here for a episode of high/low.
I know my family didn't win, but that is ok. Doesn't stop me from checking the blog every hour or so... I am just really happy for whoever wins this sweepstakes! It is always fun this time of the giveaway, and most of the people here have been so surprizingly NICE. Look forward to the next DH and UO sweeps-- and blog cabin!
