Always hated AT&T for reasons just like this. If I was ever willing to do business with them I would have picked up the iPhone years ago. Instead I put it off and off until I was blessed by Google with Android... Doesn't matter that AT&T decided to pick up on the new trend to keep from loosing their customers to Verizon and T-mobile - The company itself is still crap and we should just point and laugh and stupid business decisions such as this. Can't wait till the rest of the Nation figures it out and they just go under.

Who is this guy and why would anyone allow him to post a review. He obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. The Droid is mostly metal, the first thing i noticed about it was that it was heavier than my other phones. From a recent YouTube video the screen is almost impossible to scratch with no protector applied. And i thought from the first pictures that i saw prior to its release that it was the sexiest design for an android phone yet. My G1 looked simplistic and Im sorry by your MyTouch looks way too affemminate for my taste. You can keep your plastic girly phone, but you should keep your opinions to yourself as well cus you dont have a clue.

exactly - who would use a distant low light photo to showcase the necessity for a flash?

14 years ago @ AndroidGuys - Candid Camera: Does He... · 1 reply · +1 points

who ever wrote this article doesn't know much about taking photos. The problem is not low light - the problem is back light, which is why some sort of flash is necessary. Knowing most tech involved, young, vibrant, social individuals i know - the best example for the need of a flash on your camera phone is a night out on the town. Yes with the lowlights of a dance floor or the street lights in an alley will show up pretty well, but to take a photo of your drunk friend making a face in front of those distant lights is impossible and it then does look as if you are taking a photo in pitch blackness. I also have the G1 and a great camera application that will adjust for lighting conditions and i am fairly happy with its ability, but again - low light is not my problem photos - back lit photos are impossible without a flash. And because of that - i will hold out for a replacement until i see the phones with flash.

AFile does this beautifully with my PC - AFile used to be called discovery and was written by Mac software makers in the first place. Learned this through my research to fix a glitch a while back. Its a mobile copy of a program they wrote with iDisk for Mac. It was a little glitchy with XP using the web interface but i got the file server to work (it has great instructions in the help section) and i haven't got the file server way to work with Vista but the web interface works fine. **if i recall its still a free app too!

yeah chuksy, i wasn't actually expecting one so soon but literally just as this article was posted i was reading it late last night //early this morning and checked my phone for a message and there it was. I'm in California and have had my G1 since their release date last year. I don't know if that matters or where i am in the rollout but yeah i got it right away.

by the details i've seen suggest this would be a new version of the HERO - the pics alone show me it isn't the same as the old one you speak of!

i really only care about the specs and i haven't seen any details on that yet. I still have a sprint account and would love to get an Android device through them, as well as i have heard great things about the HTC experience on-top of android and how nice that is... Problem though is i have yet to see an upcoming Android device that will remedy the problems i have with the G1 and my T-Mobile account. The internal memory and processor are simple lacking to actually execute many things smoothly and i see constant stalls and glitches. Will this new google phone with sprint out perform my lacking G1 - whats the battery life, the camera specs, memory, processor etc.??? anyone know yet!
