I'd rather watch Mike Judge's "Idiocracy." Population growth is the doppleganger...the guy above or below who posted that it isn't overpopulation but stupid population (as in Idiocracy) that is causing a lot of problems...but maybe that's what this Bartlett character wants.

Or take China's one child rule (also called the rule of aborting females)...there are now about 1.5 marriage age males per marriage age females, which besides reducing population is also destroying Chinese culture (where marriage and childbirth is considered important for rites of passage.)

Finally, as for "surplus population" folks like Bartlett spout, is he pushing for endless war to get rid of the "surplus"?

71%? that's close enough to the 70% that either derive a govt. benefit or think "what good are my rights when I'm six feet under." Go ahead and take a poll of the man on the street and you will still get 70% think Iran has nukes, because that is what the media tells them. Now when it comes to domestic policy few believe the govt. and media, but foreign policy? This is truly where Americans are idiots. Do you honestly think when about 70% can't find Iran on a map that they are gonna do critical thinking here? Americans have wised up in terms of domestic policy and economy, but until this country (empire, that is) is completely taken down, don't expect 70% of Americans to understand that its foreign policy is designed to screw the average American. Certainly the media will never explain it. The media is too heavily invested in war, empire, and stealing resources. America's foreign policy will be the death of America.

Actually, I am sick of the divide and conquer, period, on BOTH sides! The left uses race and the right uses religion, as in if you aren't Christian or Jew (in other words, if you are a Muslim, the right hates you). and don't tell me I am wrong. You righties (and I am NOT a leftie or a Muslim) know I am right. Suggestion: stop hating Muslims or anyone else...in other words, act like the Christian you say you are!
