I'm all for the bikes lanes. As a driver, I'm thankful to all who ride their bikes and can wait a bit longer if needed. I wish drivers would slow down, plan ahead, and be more tolerant. Frustration on the roads comes from being in a hurry.

Regarding the data, I'd like to see the bike counts compared to the same time last year, not since the lanes were installed. Of course the numbers have gone up over the past 3 weeks, the students are back. I want everyone to get real about this so it can be a win-win for all.

Griffin and the University seem sadly out of step with the CWA culture. I hope it can be salvaged, but I agree with the participants, volunteers, staff, donors, etc..... until he's gone, the conference is dead.

The city should take a positive approach by encouraging more use of bikes, pedestrians and bus, not by penalizing people who drive. People need to do what they need to do. Not everyone saves energy in the same manner. We all need to contribute in our own way. Enough with the social engineering.

Jane Butcher, Jim Palmer and staff have led a successful CWA for years. The dedication and love they pour into the conference deserves nothing but thanks and respect. The University should be paying close attention if so many feel something is not right with the new direction and leadership,

Pilot programs for any changes in the occupancy limits should be developed in the council and city manager neighborhoods. This would give them a good sense of how higher occupancy might work for the rest of us, if they experience the changes first hand.
Lots of diversity of income exist in Boulder. We need to change the way people think; it's not that people can't afford to live in Boulder, it's that they do not want to live in what they can afford in Boulder. It's about choices!
