Every time Gene Chizik loses, an angel gets its wings.

And (except for once) ISU wins.

I never quite 'believed' him- just not a very genuine person, and his teams were rather badly coached. .

And IG- while I felt it was time for Coach McCarney to move on, it's great that he's gone on to win a NC at Florida. He was a complete workhorse for the ISU program, and deserves the rewards.

Re: Ferentz's demeanor- I've had close sources tell me some pretty funny stories regarding Ferentz in practice vs. what he's like in interviews and on the sidelines. Pretty much the exact polar opposite- would probably not be a great place for a young child. :)

For Coach Rhoads- I see a coach that's truly passionate and excited about his position in Ames, and that's what ISU needs. They've got a LONG ways to go, but they've made big strides, and have given the fanbase some things to be excited about for the future. It's been a while...
