Every citizen, including Catholics, pay for contraception for every government employee, including congress members who use them. Where is the outrage over that.? If the church wants to get into business, why should they be exempt from federal law that other businesses have to adhere to, especially since they accepted over 2.9 billion in federal (taxpayer) dollars in 2010?
If you excommunicate every catholic who's ever used birth control, they'd hardly have any members. Who's the real hypocrite?
Catholic organizations in 28 states cover birth control and in 8 states even catholic schools cover birth control and nothing has been said till now. The majority of Catholics use contraception including my family, all my siblings and the other catholic families we interact with. The church is being hypocritical and I resent that the money I have tithed may have been used to pay off the church's molestation scandal.
My mom and dad used the rhythm and had 3 kids in three years. Then they used birth control and controlled when they had our next sibling. More Catholics use birth control than the rhythm method.
As a catholic, I can tell you, most of us use birth control. You don't see catholic couples with 6 children any more, do ya? The bishop better be careful what battle he chooses, this catholic doesn't agree with him.
I think any church that endorses a candidate should lose their tax exempt status, even if it's a candidate I support. See, I'm fair, I won't defend my candidate or church if I believe they are wrong. Right is right, and wrong is wrong. That is one thing that disturbs me about the right and fox news, they defend their side even if they are wrong. I don't agree with all the decisions my candidates have chosen and write them letters saying so.
So you defend a network that won a lawsuit with the defense they can lie and distort the news under the 1st amendment? A network that hacks phones and bribes police and have paid compensation to over 60 people thus far for hacking their phones. A network whose 2nd largest investor is a Arab that was financing the famous terrorist mosque in New York? Wonder what you would say if a fox news competitor did all that?
