I'm not really affected by remakes anymore, The original will stand by itself as it's own amazing film. While the new one will come and if it isn't any good, will go. With his talent I don't think the guy will mess it up. But if it's bad it will not taint the old one, and we can simply ignore it ever happened. They're obviously going to remake it eventually, I wouldn't mind seeing what this guy can do.
Forrest has a really strange career. It's almost a movie Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde type of a career. Really Good or Really Bad... And then There's 50 Cent...
I'm actually really looking forward to the Green Lantern. The dude has made two killer bond films while others have failed to impress. And I did rather enjoy the first Zorro movie as a entertaining popcorn flick.
If anything I think Stiller's mix of drama into a few of his comedies, make me want to see his take on a full out drama. He's shown he's talented. I'd rather see a talented director from another genre try and emerge himself into another genre. Rather than see a talented director with a particular style that we've seen over and over tell another drama.
