I don't think you have to approve of child pornography or child rape to be aware of the fact that people do use the word 'pedophilia' very casually sometimes.

I'm 25 and my husband is 42--we started dating a year and a half ago, when I was 23 and he was 40, and got married in February in Canada. But he works in my family's business and has worked for my father and grandfather since I was 11. We've been the target of some very inflammatory commentary from people who don't know us well (or when we've initially been mistaken for father and son) despite the fact that I'm an adult. And some of it has in fact come from an ex-boyfriend who is not very happy that he is an ex. Oddly, this same ex-boyfriend was 19 to my 15 when we started seeing each other (he was my high school roommate's older brother) and took it not at all well when I pointed out that if anyone I'd ever been involved with had crossed a line it was him.
