We agree with Steve. While we hope very much that Salazar is that close to Murray in said polling, and we have seen the short blurb on Red County we would like to see the source for this information.
we said that... we meant, we need a strong candidate who will force Patty to campaign, face the voters and spend her own money. we are also tired of her wildly spending our money. I hope that clarifies. Also we do believe she can be beaten, it will just take lots of hard work from grassroots conservatives like those voting in this poll.
gerry, I am not sure what you are referring to. Nowhere on our site do we require or ask for money.
Dan, I am glad you are holding a meet the candidates forum on Jan. 16th and I may try to make it. I disagree with your attack of this straw poll though. Straw polls are an important aspect of politics. All of the people voting are expressing their support for the candidate they support at this moment. The poll gives the candidates and their campaigns a barometer of where their campaign stands at this early junction. Including their ability to get their volunteers and facebook friends to take 30 seconds and vote in a poll. Obviously things may change, and this poll is by no means a complete and 100% accurate measure of their current support. If this poll is simply a fifth grade popularity contest then I guess all politics and elections fall subject to your stinging indictment.
Thanks for the comment Roma! We will leave the survey open until Jan 1st 2010 then I will do a blog post summarizing the results... that gives all the campaigns plenty of time to get their supporters to vote. I am interested to see who has the most support at this early point in the race. For me Sean is indeed a very passionate candidate but if he wants to beat Patty he needs to be able to raise more money. He has been in the race for over a year and I have heard him speak, but he has only raised $30,000 which is not going to get the job done.
Yes that was her motto. It worked too
Grumpy... you may have a point. But someone needs to make a strong run to at least make her spend money in Washington.
Unfortunately Dow Constantine was ultimately elected... tragic indeed. And no apology was ever given
