I think society has strayed quite a way of from the ideals on the video which means a lot of reversal work has to be done- but as continents were converted by missionaries, "social" missionaries will have to be enlisted to do the reversal work in our communities- internet/web missionaries are an excellent category for this kind of work, don't you think?

If blogging has a mission, this what is written here, is surely one of them.

Rather effective to link up David to Susan Boyle and highlight their previous state of anonymity, often forgotten, since I for one have an image of David as the Royal King.

It chanced that Susan Boyle's performance was transmitted right here on Italian TV last night and as soon as I heard her voice ring clear through the room I turned with the pan in my hand and stood still to listen. There she was in seconds stepping out of a lifetime of obscurity to display that precious gift of her voice to the world.

And yes, I do believe, it could happen to any of us who is the custodian of a gift- but it's not really up to us to say when.
