I know that Glenn is out there some times and has to keep people interested by being over the top. I will give you that. But I will not disregard all the things he has brought up since many of those things have happened. That you cannot deny and if you do then you obviously haven't listened to him for a long period of time. (you can only get so much out of edited scenes that media matters show out of context)
Cheers!

I can't believe you get your news from Media Matters. That is very telling. That stuff is hilarious to me!
I hope 9to5 doesn't start getting political seeing as how most of the 'enlightened' crowd here does not believe in Libertarian principals. This is a technology blog not a place for leftists to beat up on conservatives.

I will be judged according to His Holy Word, His grace and His blood is the ONLY way I can be saved, at least we can agree on that. Good luck in your conquest to divide people.
Rev. 20: 12-13
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

So I guess when the the first Congress published a Bible to be taught in schools they didn't really understand the First amendment either?
Thank goodness for the simple close minded preachers like George Whitfield who planted the seeds of individualism and sovereignty of the people and liberty into the hearts of the close minded church goers which lead to the revolution.
I don't care if there are other people of other faiths in this country, but I do have a problem when secular people of today revise history and ignore the spiritual heritage of this nation. According to Tocqueville our religion and morality is what made us so cohesive and successful we self-regulated. He compared us with the french revolution, they did not have religion or morality as their foundation. The end result cannot be denied.

I imagine if the secularization of America continues at the rate it is going in then we will have to worry about being able to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience in the years to come, which was the reasoning behind my assertion for unity. Canada has declared the Bible hate-speech. We have degraded so far down morally in society because we have forgotten the God who gave is life. The Bible used to be taught in the schools, now it is forbidden, look where we are now as a people...
Quoting John Adams: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Remembering Alexis de Tocqueville's counsel...
Comparing us with france. The french revolution was a disaster because they did not have morals or religion as their foundation. Tocqueville pointed out the the safe guard of liberty is morality and the safe guard of morality is religion.
Being a Christian and saying that you are a Christian is a big responsibility, from my experience as a LDS Missionary, a few years ago, people who were often the cruelest towards me were the so-called Christians in southern california. Not that all were so mean spirited in fact most of the good Christian people in Southern California were very Christlike towards us even though they did not share the same interpretation of scripture. But a minority of Christians were very mean spirited. Usually the holier-than-thou types who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof.
I don't think it Christian when you take the lead in kicking people out of Christ's camp. Who are you to make such a judgement. My Savior will judge me by my faith and by my works and he will determine if I was a good Christian or not. How do you have the authority to judge another man's heart? You don't.

"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg."
We will not agree in all points of doctrine but we should agree on is the freedom to worship according to the dictates of our own conscience. Even the early colonies had their own doctrines and different ways of worship but that did not stop them from uniting under the cause of freedom and liberty.

Can we agree on that?
So your only gripe with Glenn Beck and many of us here at this discussion is our views on social issues? Is that correct?
But as for small limited government, responsible fiscal policy, lower taxes and individualism over collectivism you agree with? Just trying to see where you are coming from.
