So I guess you have lived as a woman and a rape victim in both the US and one of those "barbaric countries", if you can make a better comparison? It's pretty arrogant to assume that you know more about what it's like to live as a woman than a women themselves do. Even in "civilized" countries such as the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, blaming the victim while defending the rapist is a commonplace occurrence. If you're not being interrogated about what you were wearing/doing/etc, you're outright accused of lying. This is true not just for rape, but any kind of sexualized violence against women -- harassment, groping, whatever. "Innocent until proven guilty" for the rapists has unfortunately been twisted to mean "guilty until proven innocent" for their victims. There are no saner countries for women to run to.
