Just for once OX I'm going to agree with you. Where are all the concerned citizens? Where are the repubs and the United Irishmen. Where is irishrepublican, where is Rosie, where is Seamus or Bernard. In fact where are all of them? Oh that's right they are busy poking fun at a few women who do not enjoy their superiority of the Queen's English. Even so they display a large degree of ignorance. Never before has a political problem come up with so many of the human section of the populace Catholic and Protestant been in one voice. Starting with 'be very careful Poots et al' this is an area you will be absolutely required to get right!
So many of you repubs keep trying to elevate Pira terrorists to a status equivalent to that of the security forces who were ordered to come here to protect the people of Northern Ireland because of those same terrorists. You'll note I didn't find it necessary to put British in front of security forces. I'm blessed with the knowledge of where I live. When you and the rest of the United Irish people manage to understand that, then we will have a starting point. I have no trouble condemning the loyalist terrorism can you do the same with the shinners?
How do you manage to get through a day with so much hate in you? As one of the 'other two' on here I have to burst your bubble. No doubt the Brothers or the Reverend Fathers can keep you topped up with little anecdotes sufficient to keep you typing all day but none of those you mentioned paraded murderers, thugs and terrorists in the way your Martin did in defiance of the wishes of the people. I don't belong to any of the groups you mentioned here so as an independent observer it appears to me you don't need to worry about criticism of a peace centre. There isn't one and it doesn't look as though there is going to be one. Only one person is wriggling here and struggling to support the repubs but don't worry, the Ox and the yahoo/Europhile will be along soon and even dulally might look in to help. I note you are completely indifferent to the feelings of the two young people who started this thread off. How very republican of you.
I want to make sure I have this absolutely right. Firstly we have the ORANGE ORDER who glorify terrorism because they employ bands with UVF written on their drum. Then we have hundreds of thousands, not thousands, of people lining the pavements cheering them on some of whom are Unionists and some who are Loyalists who are also glorifying terrorism. Now there's a dulally who wanted the head of the ORANGE ORDER to attend gaa matches. I don't get what would have been achieved by that but I can sense all the repubs are struggling with their shrine but I don't call anyone a terrorist-loving repub simply because they have the noive (sic) to point out my hypocrisy. Now, if you have any decency, you'll stop posting here on a page which started out as congratulating the success of two young people who are the direct victims of the repub murderers.
Rosie, do you think you have something to hang your coat on with this 'the oo are glorifying terrorism by association with bands which have UVF on their drum' It looks very like grasping at straws. Still it's a useful insight into how you repubs think. You take something said in the 1930's which may have been a put-down read from a dusty old Irish history book and you are going to make the Orange Order of today pay for that? Surely you are not so upset at the loss of a terrorist shrine to people who did a lot more than have put-downs in speeches, I'm thinking bombs, bullets and running here, to struggle with a tenuous link to a flute band to allow you to try to make a full-blown charge of glorifying terrorism on the Orange Order? Check with Martin, he knows how to glorify terrorism properly.
Isn't it a good job we are allowed to post opposing points of view on this site and you will note this can be managed without childish insults.
My view is we lost an excellent politician when Stephen Nolan got rid of Ken Maginnis for us. In my opinion he was a man of principle and you can't have too many of those.
If we are not going to allow any public signs of the glorification of terrorism then we must equally ban the OO from parading whilst they allow UVF bands to march alongside them.

Most when reading this would take it your are NOT accusing the ORANGE ORDER of glorifying terrorism rather you are accusing them of allowing bands with the name UVF on their big drum to parade thereby glorifying terrorism. Am I not right?
I take it when you rudely command I read a "proper" history book you are referring to an Irish history book. Well, no thanks. I regard my British history books as quite proper and without a mention of the Battle of Ballyaughnashanlon in 1120.
"The Peace Centre is potentially shelved as a 'punishment' " A punishment? Who is being punished? It looks very much like it's only you repubs who want this shrine. Should they be punished................?
Your wording could be a lot more careful. Do you simply mean the UVF bands should be banned? If that's the case we are not miles apart. I think the celebration of Protestantism you call OO could be vastly improved on with their removal and the show for tourists and locals made into a greater spectacle and as it was at a time something to be enjoyed by both religions. That was before your repub friends turned it into what it is today.
Tripe is a very good word for you to use! "I certainly hope that sensible people opt for the non-sectarian alternatives, de-clawing the Unionist Dinosaurs, however, since they have limited options I can see why they are playing the sectarian hard-line card yet again (always the Unionist game). " I'm assuming you are a young person. You would have given examples of these alternatives you speak of otherwise. Yes. all Unionists are disappointed with the leadership shown and the lack of dynamism and I can empathise with a lot of the points you make. However, the repubs have only one interest and that is to achieve a United Ireland and there can be no co-operation because of that, so if you are ok with that then happy days for you. You might find it interesting to make a list of the gestures and welcoming signs made by the United Irishmen since the GFA was signed. You won't need paper you will be able to write it on your fingernail.
