P.S. The discussion part of the posts load very slow to an Israeli user (the post itself loads in 2 seconds while the discussion comes up after ~10) - FYI.

I am a long time reader of yours and I wanted to set your attention to the fact the Hulu video widget you are using is not working for people outside the US and also for me, in little Israel:)

I know cloud computing is a vague term that different people hold different ideas for and what I meant when I said cloud computing was good all known web services/sites/applications such as GMail and Google Docs. As a GMail user I am not worried whether my data is the same from wherever I access it, I just know it is. Sometimes web service do not provide access to your data via some specific devices and that can be a case for some sync functionality. Also, data integrity within web services such as Gmail might be an issue for itself, but that is a different story.
Cloud computing as an infrastructure such as the services Amazon Web Services provide do not solve this issue nor try to - it is just plain computing capabilities rendered in an easy way to use and nothing more.
My general point was that the sync problem exists today only when it comes to dealing with data saved locally on your computer or in your local network and once you need to access it from somewhere else then sync headaches come into the picture.

After reading again the post on sync still I can say that the web (or cloud if you want to call it this way) as an application platform solves many of the traditional sync problems. Once you work with a web application then you almost in no need to think about your data health or accessability (except for the scenario where the company dies). Most of the cases described in Jean-Gabriel post deal with sync issues related to the usage of desktop applications that persist data locally or on a local network.
I fully agree that even though computers have evolved greatly in recent decades, still the common user can not take the worries for his/her data off his/her mind. yet - you can see that there are many new advancements and companies like Memeo (which I like their site and product packaging very much) here to make the headache smaller.

People who are bigger then life are those who treat you with respect, always, regardless of their message to you. There is an ancient biblical saying (in a quick hebrew to english translation): The slave to rule as a king - and it means that only people who are slaves at heart become vicious rulers when they have the chance to grab power; and those who are kings at heart stay humble regardless of their position.

I don't have a clear description for a platform like this but something that would enable "digg" like social sense with noise reduction can do the job. Maybe some open debating platform where people can engage into the discussion.
Anyway, as I said I don't have an exact idea:)

There were few items on the news I think that Israeli Hasbara could do miracles with but nothing has happened:
1) Several times I heard Hamas is sabotaging the humanitarian efforts, including shooting at the trucks as well as taking the merchandise to themselves to make sure suffering (and pictures of it) keeps on flowing. This I think is more important then 100 videos ofmusks or tunnels being bombed with small circles saying "secondary bombings" on them.
2) I just read today on the paper that Hammas does not allow injured to go for treatment in Israel. This should be (with pictures and testimonials of course) on a big billboard.
3) We treated few hurt babies in Israel including labor of women from Gaza during the war - this should not go un-noticed as well.
4) Just yesterday they found a school and zoo trapped with 200 K of bombs - is this something responsible and human do?
5) All our army measures to prevent civilian casualties in Gaza are unprecedented in war history (its not me who said so:) and all these should beonline as well, with all details.
People have to understand we are the good guys!
In general what Angles me most about Israeli Hasbara is that they do not try to move the world to our position and they just pile up good and bad excuses on why we are ok without showing our enemy's evil. Just the other day I read some comparison between what we do and Vietnam and somehow people don't realize Gaza is at our doorstep and not 10,000 miles away.
People in the rest of the western world should know we are also fighting THEIR war on terror and they should be writing us checks actually instead of cold water!
One big aspect of Hasbara we are missing is towards the Palestinian people. Both in Gaza, Yehuda and Shomron and Israeli Arabs. In their eyes we are doing evil and although they have very big sympathy to their people, they have to understand as we do that the only party responsible on all the sufferings isHammas! Even though they think that on one hand Hammas is accomplishing some long term resistance to the Zionist, still in the mid term they are doing it very wrongly on the expense of their own people. They should see and smell the nice and warm roomsChaled Mashal has in Syria while they don't have anything to eat or drink.
One final note, I follow your own "hasbara" campaign in recent weeks and "Hazak vematz"!
