Just a typical lefty screed filled with the same old lefty talking points. Y-A-W-N. (and I agree that you need to be a tad more concise) Millions of people read you on the Internet? WOW! LOL..... You have quite the overblown opinion of yourself. If you've got all of the answers and are so dang smart why don't you show up and enlighten all of those poor ignorant Tea Party particpants?

To Warren's brother and family: As I was probably the best witness I did remain at the scene and provide as complete and accurate a statement as I could to the Edmonds police.

I hope my description above helps you make whatever sense can be made of something like this.

For what it's worth, when I chatted with Warren at the Kingston ferry dock, he seemed to be in a good mood that day and enjoying being out on his bike.

I am very sorry for your loss.

RIP, Warren.

He was riding a black Harley without a fairing. He was wearing a blakc HD leather jacket with several patches on it. I don't know his name. I suspect that it will be released once his next of kin have been notified.

I almost got taken out the prior day on that road by some guy who pulled a mid-block 40mph U-turn without warning right in front of me. I may stop taking that ferry.

I was riding right next to this guy when this collision occurred and saw it happen. I'd chatted with him at the Kingston ferry dock in the motorcycle area and he seemed like a decent guy. He was an experienced rider and was wearing a full-face helmet.

He and I were the first two bikes off of the ferry. I had the left lane, he had the right lane. He was not riding fast or recklessly. He was riding at about the same pace that I was. The light turned yellow, I decided to stop, he decided to go through. He easily and legally made it through the yellow light when the minivan pulled a left turn in front of him. He clearly had the right of way and the collision was not his fault.

My best guess is that he was distracted by watching the light and did not see the minivan pull in front of him, nor did the minivan appear to see him. If you're a rider then the lesson you can learn from this tragedy is not to get distracted watching the yellow light and to keep your guard up at all times.

The EMTs did not spend much time before covering him so I assume(hope) that he died on impact and did not suffer.

My prayers go out to this rider's family and friends.
