STUPID WOMAN!!! The guy should've stopped her & took her information so he could report her to CPS. Why would she even think of turning her back to her child so she could gossip with other people is a mystery to me. Well, you guys can always identify who she is (thank goodness for dashboard cams!). If any of you know who she is, go tell CPS. What she did was child endangerment. She should, at the very least, be cited for this lest she thinks she's gotten away scot-free from a very serious incident that she herself caused. Just imagine if there was no one to stop the runaway stroller. Imagine if you were the one to hit that runaway stroller and the child died? Yor whole life is going to get totally messed up because of this stupid woman. Somebody please tell CPS if you know this woman and give them a copy of the video as proof.
Excuse me, but owning dogs is a matter of accountability and responsibility. If a person doesn't want to be accountable nor responsible for his animal, he shouldn't have one. If you don't love your dog enough to care about what it does in your neighbor's yard, don't expect others to care about them either. I own dogs so I paid to put a fence up, paid to get them basic training, paid healthcare insurance for them each month,wake up early & drive home on my lunch break to let them out to potty, walk them to get exercise when I get home from work, etc. If the owners of those dogs really care about them, we wouldn't be here arguing about this. The owners did that to the poor dog.
I think that the dogs' owner put the life of the poor dog at risk by intentionally allowing her dogs to cross over to her neighbors knowing it would set her neighbors off especially since there had already been bad blood between them about her dogs. She should have been more responsible. By letting things go this far between her and her neighbors, she is also teaching and giving her children the wrong message. I have 6 dogs in my property and a cranky neighbor who hates them. I do my best to get along with her. I go outside with them when I let them out to potty and make sure they behave and not harass passersby and the neighbors. I secured the fence to make sure they can't dig under it and when they poop close to her side of the fence, I make sure I scoop right away so she doesn't have grounds to complain about poopy smell, etc.
Even though the neighbor was wrong for shooting the dog, I feel sorry for him because it is very, very frustrating when the dogs' owners chose to ignore what he was trying to get across to them. Some people should just not own dogs. Owner is probably another uneducated redneck.
And these BRIGHT people of Snohomish county are who our hard-earned taxpayer money being paid to. WOW! Seriously?!!! Bungle and cover up is their modus operandi because they are so effing lazy to even check. They prefer to keep sitting on their big fat asses and get paid doing effing nothing. People, be very wary where and who you give your support to. If you want to give support, give it to the rescues. Never trust anything/anybody taking your tax money. If they can do it to an innocent dog, they can definitely do it to you. Oh, wait! They are already doing it to us. We're getting screwed by them every time they get their paychecks.

Unless you need stitches or your dog is not current on shots, there's no need to go to the hospital. You can always buy antibiotic ointment from any drugstore. I've been nipped 4 times and that's all I needed plus a band-aid.
This so-called "horrible mistake" could have been avoided if only the people manning the shelter were not incompetent. But unfortunately, the shelter chose to hire them and so, therefore, the shelter should be able to pay for this "horrible mistake". Why shouldn't there be a financial bloodbath? If the owner goes into depression because of the dog's death, she should not be made to pay for going to therapy out of her own pocket. If grief from this incident renders her unable to work, should she be left unaided? It's the shelter's fault, they should be ready to compensate in every way possible. It is a moral obligation on their part.
This kid definitely was not raised by good, responsible parents.
If that were to happen here in the U.S., Animal Control would have seized those dogs and the owner gets fined or goes to jail. Dogs are considered family members if they have owners. It is sad and unfortunate that news like this gets leaked all the way here. It highlights the negative character of Filipinos. These very same dogs were featured in the local news here in Washington state last year. Shameful!!!
Good shelters don't destroy animals. Point me to one that doesn't and I will support it.
