limerain only does 3gs and ipad and newer ipod touchese. redsnow does the old 3g and touches.

In case the ios slows ur iphone down you can always downgrade it for whatever reason. otherwise apple doesnt let you.

Google/download "tiny umbrella" its a tool that saves and signs ur firmwares so you can downgrade/upgrade them later.

Well the unlock is available through Cydia. And you get cydia when you jailbreak so YES!

Well I think it is safe to update to 4.1 right now, but for 4.2.1 you should just wait, since you waited already.

Just wandering when they said Sunday, do they mean sunday in usa or around the world. Common Sense tells me Sunday US EST, but my heart tells me today at 1 EST :)
