I'm pulling out.. I am closing shop here and moving my business to Texas. The most business friendly state in the U.S... 150 employees, 85 families who could be your friends or family members will be receiving pink slips in the morning.. Let this be a warning for the rest. We (The business owners) don't have to stay here. Keep raising taxes and we will leave, reducing your tax base. Then what??? Raise taxes again??? Great plan... Try doing what the rest of Us common folk do... Stop Spending More Than You Have!!!!

I lived on U street for a while.. Allot of the properties are managed by Umbrella Properties which claim they don't charge for background checks.. If they don't charge for it I'll be willing to bet they don't do them very often or even at all.. I've seen allot of crime in that area from domestic violence, vandalism, braking out car windows (I was a victim of that) cars peeling out over the lawns. It's getting to be as bad as the Apartments mid Gateway area.

Give me one example of a temporary tax that has actually been temporary. You will call it temporary now but, just vote to extend it further or make it permanent later..

My comment was to make a point with the county commission.. I agree these guys are going away for a long time and will not likely get out next week..

They didn't mention holding them federally on the kidnapping charge, which in my opinion is far worse than steeling federally insured money...
