My Recent Story... hehe :)
====================
I won a iPhone 3G 16GB from eBay for 40 dollars the other day it was just delivered and it was stuck on Apple logo the owner did not know how to get it restored so he put it up for sale/ so when I got it I did a factory restore from iTunes and it was of course updated to iOS 4.2.1 with the unlockable baseband 05.14.04 so I upgraded to the iPad baseband then down graded with the new redsn0w and now i'm on iOS 4.2.1 with baseband 05.13.04 after that I did nothing and waited for the phone to activate with off carrier SIM and presto. Downgraded with the new (redsn0w) and Unlocked with (Ultrasn0w) which was installed for the iPad baseband.
You guys are the BEST!!! Thanks again!!

Have a question on upgrading my iPhone 3G to iOS 4.2.1.
Question is can i preserve the BB and upgrade to iOS 4.2.1 or not possible ? I tried to select the iOS IPSW but none of the redsn0ws support making a custom IPSW for 3G only 3GS and above.
Right now I am on iOS 3.1.3 (7E18)
Firmware Version: 05.12.01
Unlocked with Ultrasn0w 1.2.7
I dont want to lose my unlock so I wouild like to keep my BB.
Also i'm guessing that iPhone 3G cannot be upgraded to 5.1.1 is this correct ?
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. :)
