This book has had a profound impact on my ability to address my past worry obsession. I am proud to say worry has hardly a hairline crack in my mind these days. For the "BIG" worry problems I had and ever have to this day, I use the "magic" formula Mr. Carnegie shares:

Step 1: Analyze the situation fearlessly and honestly and figure out what is the worst that could possibly happen as a result of this (Really, what is the WORST!!)

Step 2: Prepare yourself mentally to accept the worst - if you have to.

Step 3: Then calmly proceed to improve on the worst – which you have already agreed to mentally accept.

Presto!!

Peace

You did an awesome vlog here! You probably brought up more ideas in 5min than many people pay attention to in their lifetime!! I look forward to your compilation when it manifests for you.

PS - What did the training effect idea come from? I am not sure I have been exposed to this before.

This is one of my favourite books (read it about 10+ times). A lot of diverse and truely profound ideas in the book. I find it most interesting how ideas that come from people with such differant backgrounds and experiences can be so congruent with each other. Maltz, with his medical/scientific background, is basically talking about the same phenomenon (unconscious servo-mechanism that guides you to achieving your goals) that Wayne Dyer is speaking about in the Power of Intention, just in a different way (but same end result). When I see many diverse people all drawing similar conclusions about goal setting, visualization and affirmation, how can I not be compelled to implement these HABITS into my life as one of my highest priorities. I continue to improve in these areas as I continue to gain new perspectives from such enlightened teachers.

Peace...
