I do not buy the Iowa vs non Iowa kids at all. Most every coach will tell you they want to get most of the players THEY OFFER from their own state. Do we have to look out of state for a lot of players? Well da, yes we do but if we do not recruit our state and try to get the players WE WANT then winning consistently will be a lot tougher. By the way you cite Kansas as a prime example. It seems to me they had a couple pretty good Iowans in Heinrich and Collision. Those two and Korver (who all came out of high school in the same year) would have looked pretty good in Iowa City. Then you cite Hoiberg. He seems to be chasing a lot of Iowa kids also. Your own examples of coaches and programs seem to be to dent your own argument about Out of state VS in state players. In addition, these next few classes in Iowa are loaded and thats even considering National rankings
Excellent breakdown Marc. Great work.
Greg buddy, you are going to have to work on your "zingers". That one was pretty lame.
I am shocked a clone fan would go to name calling so quickly.:) I guess when the facts are not on your side that's what a person does. Tell me Greg, the reason you are being this way is "I am right" no one wants your teams. Admit it, the truth shall set you free.
Because they have no place better after the breakup of the Big 12 Greg. Thats why
I still would still love to see them in the MAC. That would give me bragging rights over my clone friends for ever. That would make it all worth it to me
Right or wrong, one of the things that makes some thing newsworthy is who the person who got arrested is. As an example, if the mayor of IC got arrested for OWI that would be bigger news than if a regular citizen got arrested for the same thing.
With a hammie, even if he can play I cannot see how is at full speed. If he cannot run as he usually does or scramble that will impact the game a lot.
