Hey David,

We've started experimenting with a rating system and it's slowly being integrated. Expect more in this area over the coming months.

Thanks Sum, with so many places to interact online I can certainly see how it would feel that way. A time management post or strategy post for using everything would be awesome!

I was indeed. It was at the ts bunker. Had a great time asking questions and hearing the topics discussed in person. Highly recommended.

Great topic and I'm glad you brought it up. Borrowing some from what Eric Reis / Lean Start-up says (http://startuplessonslearned.blogspot.com/), I like to use analytics to test hypotheses. They're great for providing data that validates or invalidates hypotheses and brings sound reasoning to discussions. In terms of breakthroughs, I think analytics are good for measuring if it's actually a breakthrough or not. The numbers won't lie, but delusions of something awesome and subsequent building of it shouldn't be taken blindly.

I think a combination of having a clear vision of where the product is going coupled with testing it every step of the way through analytics is a good approach (and of course talking to a ton of customers, too). You summed things up nicely when you said "If you’re tracking the right metrics, and view those analytics as the validation part of your decision making process, and not the entirety of your decision making process, then no." Spot on.

I like this way of evaluating decisions. Scarcity of time also plays a huge part.
