Why say something you can't prove here. You alleged age and alleged college education is irrelevant and cannot be proven here. So why bother bringing it up?

Rosa Parks???? Oh no you din'int!!! Please. The moral equivalency of the KEA is embarrassing and appalling. If you say "well , dey boaf be fiightin' fo what dey beleaf", it still doesn't begin to compare.

The better comparison is the hippie protestors in the 60's willing to go to jail because they couldn't smoke dope.

I get so friggin' confused whenever I hear anyone from KEA speak. "It's not about the money". then "It's about about the money"., then "well, it's about both". then "it's about too many meetings". You guys need to get your sh** together. Because the general public that is just looking at it from the outside and hoping it ends....the majority of them think it's about more money.

So, get one message and stick to it. Having 3-4 "demands" is impossible for people to get behind.

Oh, BTW....you can likely kiss goodbye any bonds or levy's coming up for vote in the near future. Good job!!!!

KentTchr, no one can dispute that the salary base for admins and salary base for teachsters is out of whack. But the KDS alone cannot resolve that specific point. If pay is the issue, or not (I get confused depending on which KEA is speaking), then you need to focus your energies more on KSD, AND alleged Gov Gregiore . The boards hands are sort to tied in what they need to pay a Superintendent. The state allocates each discrict around $61,000K for salary. They fill the gaps with bonus's, incentives, allowances, etc. This no way in the world a district can attract a Superindent of any competence or experience with that low of a salary.

That gap needs to be shrunk. By how much? No one can answer.

David, thanks for the updated info. BTW, get ready of a KEA member to come back say those figures are a lie

The one here???? This is not a blog. It's comment board on as news story. The KEA blog is a blog. I'd be dubious if you were the actual blogger. Commetng on a blog is judt that.. Commeting, not blogging. If you don't have a blog of your own, just say so. But don't equate blogging with accounting.
If yooz a teachster I suggest if you want to be able to "relate" to your students, I suggest you get more hip to social networking technologies.

But nothing in that fund, by law, is allocatted for what you are asking.

Metaphor? You a teacher? Voting to defy the injunction would be a metaphor for.......what, exactly. I'm not sure that word means what you think ti means. Lemme guess. Not an english teacher, right?

I wonder if the Air Traffic Controllers were thinking the same thing under Reagan.
