This morning, I watched his interview on the bbc website. He said words to this effect:
the players were playing so well that at half time "I didn't know what to say to them". He actually said "I didn't know what to say to them".
My God.
I hope that was lost in translation because it seems pretty f****** obvious what to say. Motivate them to keep it up. To keep putting pressure on Brum, to keep posession as much as possible, to not frustrate them, to understand that we can absorb a goal but may need to score again.

Let's face it, he won't be playing any high profile matches with West Ham any time soon. This would give him the opportunity to play high profile games without compromising his loyalty to WHU.
Also the current England set-up is a joke, and after seeing what happened to Green after one mistake, he might not fancy being a clown for that particular circus.

You are the only person that has called the original post "racist". Nobody else used that word until you upped the ante. If you are so easily offended, and the offense you receive is such a massive blow (you said it was "vile", "disgusting to say the least" and "upsetting") then I suggest you stay off the internet.
Ben, you have a right to your opinion but you seem unable to understand that this was not written to offend you but was rather a clumsy attempt at light-hearted humour. I can't work out if you're just very young, if you're a fundamentalist, if you're mildly autistic or just a troll.

It's not helpful to generalise. Only one commenter used the word "racist", and you seize this and suggest "people today [are] looking for evidence of racism where there is none". You could have just said you didn't believe it was offensive and left it at that.
I'm not a member of the 'ban this sick filth!' brigade and I don't think this post is racist or "vile". Almost any joke is offensive to someone out there and there's nothing anyone can do about that. However, this came over as ignorant, not true and not funny.

It's also lazy to compare Yom Kippur to Christmas, and a shame you didn't bother to take 5 seconds to look YK up on wikipedia or you might have realised what a poor comparison it is. Yom Kippur is the Jewish day of atonement. So compare it to confession or communion (both are about repentment) or Good Friday (which also has a very sombre mood), but not Christmas.
I don't know, maybe it wouldn't have annoyed me if it hadn't been such a pointless dig. We draw on Saturday without AG and won on Tuesday with him so your joke doesn't even work. If you're going to be rude about someone's religion, at least make it funny, and failing that, at least make it factually correct.
