Damn - An hour agonising over whether I've got the right bootrom and wotnot and I just remembered that Pwnage Tool is for the Mac not Windows.

I guess I'm waiting a while longer....

That's really helpful, thanks! But I've got an iPhone 3gs running OS 3.1.2 - model MC133B (which means new bootrom) and serial ***36****** (which means old bootrom) - so which have I got? And more importantly can I jailbreak? I've used Blackra1n in the past

I'm in the same boat. Unfortunately the answer is that we need to carry on waiting. I'm short they'll sort it soon.

Hi - I'm a complete newbie to iPhones. I've only had my iPhone 3gs for 5 days and the first thing I did was update it to 3.1 through iTunes (idiot I know).

Is it possible for me to roll it back to 3.0 and then jailbreak it or am I stuck waiting for 3.1 to be cracked for the 3gs?

(I'm not fussed about unlocking)
